Why do we only take booking for weddings when there are birthdays, christenings etc all requiring DJs ?
This is something we are often asked, and to be perfectly honest, did consider whilst planning our recovery from being unable to work for so long due to Covid.
This weekend we had no bookings at all, however received a call from a fellow DJ who had been contacted by a venue needing a disco for a young ladies 14th birthday party. With a choice of doing the party or sitting in watching The Masked Singer, the van was packed and away we went. Most, if not all DJs, have the ability to undertake a disco for virtually any occasion, ourselves included.
So, roll onto the end of the night, everyone had a great time, people thanked us and yes, it was a success.
BUT, we will still be focussing on only wedding bookings, with exception of Prom Nights and Xmas parties.
WHY ? Because, not being big headed, it is something we are not just good at but EXCEL at right from the moment of booking until the last song of the night.
With almost 30 years of experience in the wedding industry in various guises we do have a great deal of knowledge. Wedding discos are a little different to parties etc with formalities, timings, song choices etc and we have fine-tuned our service for this, together with a lot of knowledge and hidden tips and tricks – even if it is not what people want to hear, we are always honest.
Most DJs now class themselves as ‘Wedding and Event DJs’ which basically means they are general DJs and not specialising in any specific event – there is absolutely nothing at all wrong with this and most provide a great night. We just prefer to specialise in WEDDINGS because that is truly what we are best at and our reputation within the Wedding Industry backs up our thoughts.
