The blog has gained great interest even resulting in a little appearance in the local papers. To follow up we thought it was only fair that we asked couples themselves who have had to postpone what their view were on wedding suppliers together with any thoughts, feelings or other matters regarding having to change their wedding date.
Now, we wanted to avoid the minefield of having lists of good and bad suppliers, venues etc. So, to overcome this, we did request that although we wanted to hear about the good and bad, we did NOT want any names mentioned.
We needn’t have worried as the feedback was all great – out of the dozens of replies, only one person reported that ‘one person, was unsympathetic, tried to charge a fortune for something to do with the postponement’
Out of dozens of replies, each couple using many suppliers, to only hear of one negative we think is amazing.
Everyone also reported that (apart from the above singular incident) they had NOT BEEN CHARGED ANY EXTRA for rearranging their wedding date. The only slight ‘negative’ thing financially is that many have found the extra time has resulted in purchasing even more haha. Sorry, suppliers can’t help with that one.
Every couple said that rearranging their wedding date had been really simple with suppliers replying promptly, and making the process stress free
Talking about stress, by far the biggest ‘stress factor’ mentioned is the not knowing and being held in limbo. This is something suppliers REALLY sympathise with. We probably know as much as you do with regards to any changes happening and our whole businesses (and life) is currently on hold. It is looking as though weddings are ‘forgotten’ but hopefully we receive more positive news soon.
This blog could go on forever if we went through every single reply, so have summarised, again the aim is to highlight just how great the Wedding Industry really is.
