A Stunning Middlesbrough Venue for a Beautiful Wedding
Nothing brings us more pleasure than providing DJ duties at a wedding. We have performed these duties to countless weddings in the North East for years at some of the most prestigious venues in the area, yet we may have just performed at one of the best out there – Acklam Hall.
Acklam Hall has been undergoing renovations for the past 18 months, turning the 17th century mansion into a resplendent wedding venue, and we were more than proud to be amongst the first DJs to perform at an Acklam Hall wedding.
The charming bride and groom were Carol Cottrell and Carl Thom, whose beautiful ceremony recently took place on August 4, which happened to be one of the first set of weddings to take place in the newly resorted Acklam Hall.
As the recommended DJs for weddings at Acklam Hall, we were honoured to provide the musical entertainment for the happy couple and all their guests, and it proved to be a brilliant night for all in attendance!
Both bride and groom looked fantastic as they took to the dancefloor for their first song, the aptly named Watch Over You, by Alter Bridge. After wowing the guests with their dance, the party really began, and we couldn’t be happier providing all of the musical entertainment that got everyone up of their seats and dancing away.
Before we got set up, we took the chance to get a better look at the newly renovated building, and it didn’t disappoint.
Acklam Hall was first built in the beginning of the 17th century, and some of the features that were present there remain to this day, most notably the breath-taking main staircase that greets you as you enter.
It features gorgeous spirals and helixes that are carved in a baluster style. Ascending these winding stairs will lead you to a truly magnificent sight – a delightful rose window centred in the roof at the top of the main stairs of the building.
The magnificent Parlour*(see below) room where the wedding ceremony was held showcased the fantastic work that has gone into restoring the building to all its former glory. The room is awash with light thanks to luxurious décor and towering windows, which helps to create the perfect ambiance for a wedding ceremony.
Guest also get to enjoy a brilliant view of the surrounding gardens (which are perfect for those wedding photos!) which really helps to cap off a simply wonderful location for any wedding.
After this, the happy bride and groom took to the gorgeous Drawing Room for an intimate wedding breakfast. Then it was time for the fun to really begin. As the Acklam Hall DJ for this majestic wedding, we made sure our DJ matched the high standard of this venue – just like we do with every single venue we perform at!
The wedding reception between Mr & Mrs Thom was one of our most favourite in a long time. It is always a pleasure to DJ for a couple’s special day, and this was only enhanced by the opportunity to perform at one of the best new venues around.
We cannot wait to return for our next Acklam Hall wedding!
